Comptek Technologies Signs National Supplier Agreement with Top Tier Wireless Carrier

Aero Wireless Group to supply steel poles for small cell deployments

BOULDER, CO. – June 23, 2022 Comptek an Aero Wireless Group Company and a leader in engineering and manufacturing smart poles and concealment shroud solutions, announces they have secured nationwide approval from a top tier wireless carrier as a supplier of steel poles for small cell deployments. This partnership developed as a collaboration between Comptek and the carrier with cities in California evolving to deployments on a national scale.

Comptek has over 20 years of experience supporting the telecom tower industry with innovative engineered telecom infrastructure products and manufacturing. The company offers a full suite of wireless concealment poles, shrouds, and infrastructure solutions to meet carrier requirements and the aesthetic character of the community. The company’s catalog of products includes options for the carrier’s most common pole types. Each Comptek design is C-Band ready to support the carrier’s transitions to C-Band in 2022 and beyond with a product that includes a galvanized finish and standard RAL colors. In-house manufacturing, supported by Comptek’s reliable supply chain partners, has allowed the company to achieve typical lead times for standard poles in 8-10 weeks from the order, which was a driving factor in their selection by the carrier.

“This is a great opportunity for us at Comptek to continue to expand our national footprint”, said Comptek CEO Jim Lockwood. “We are excited to introduce ourselves and demonstrate our commitment to support our clients nationwide build plans with our approved poles and small cell infrastructure expertise.”

Comptek is an ISO 9001 certified company and adheres to many industry guidelines such as AASHTO, TIA, AWS, AISC, and GR487. Comptek Technologies is among the first companies in the US to design and manufacture small cell poles, including their signature innovation, CityPole® Smart Poles, which is among the pole types approved by the carrier. Their modular systems architecturally blend into the communities, while successfully concealing and protecting equipment and antennas. Comptek’s innovative methods and technologies are adaptable to future equipment changes, and engineered to minimize installation time in the right-of-way, making them ideal for the ever-changing needs of customers.

Comptek’s track record in the wireless sector speaks for itself, with its many years of experience working with large wireless carriers and neutral host providers that include Verizon, AT&T, Cox Communications, ExteNet, Crown Castle and others. Comptek will now work with the carrier in the immediate future on deployments primarily in the Southern California region, with future plans to expand across the country now that national approval has been secured. The companies are also currently exploring additional avenues to utilize Comptek’s suite of 5G concealment shrouds.
