General Position Summary

The Program Management Director is a highly visible, strategic position responsible for managing all aspects of the product development process that drive organic growth. The Director provides leadership to the Program Management Organization (PMO) and is responsible for the overall performance of programs and execution of the business plan for already captured programs as well as future opportunities. The Director promotes adherence to global program management philosophies and strategies across the enterprise including, but not limited to, risk management, requirements management, and lean principles. The Director has significant influence and provides direction and leadership to the Program/Project Managers and Project Coordinator direct report and other enterprise-wide functions, as appropriate, to meet business objectives.

  • Accountable for resource planning, budgeting, monitoring, and control of the PMO, as applicable, and for programs
  • Ensure program profitability through cost and pricing management while attaining overall program objectives
  • Identify, incorporate and support project management best practices
  • Establish continuous improvement culture utilizing Six Sigma/Lean methodologies to improve tools, systems and business processes

  • Staff, train, coach, and develop a direct (typically program managers or other professionals) and indirect team utilizing leadership principles

  • Provide input for new business planning by providing long, mid-, and short-term project forecasting support, including all major program revenue and cost projections 

  • Define and implement the infrastructure to monitor performance through reporting and timely reviews with stakeholders

  • Create and effectively communicate a vision and strategy for an assigned team in alignment with company goal

  • Establish strong, cross-functional and cross-business relationships that encourage horizontal thinking and collaboration

  • Accountable for defining and achieving all aspects of program(s) launch and sustainability including, but not limited to:
      • Value stream development
      • Achievement of P&L targets
      • On-time delivery of fully validated solutions to customer commitments 
      • Early supplier involvement and supply chain readiness (internal and external)
      • Full-process capability
      • Manage customer and program associated risks including prioritization, escalation and resolution of identified risks

Education and Experience

General Position Summary

We are seeking a results driven individual for our Aurora facility who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Program Manager will be accountable for the planning, directing, and executing multiple projects while engaging the enterprise to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction. . The Project Manager will utilize indirect leadership skills to continuously monitor and improve project deliverables including contractual and business objectives (project scheduling and product costs) while ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery. Project Manager routinely interacts with sales, advanced design, engineering, operations, finance, and customers to achieve overall project objectives. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, project management and manufacturing, construction or operations experience, and a strong technical background (experience in telecommunication structures is a plus). The candidate will be engaged as an agile member of a multi-disciplined product development team and will be responsible for the coordination of work, resource loading and project performance.

  • Drive relevant status communications, monitor progress through management reviews, escalate program issues and ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Prioritize projects and resources, assess complexity against workload and capability of team members, recommend resource allocations, and ensure all functions staff teams accordingly
  • Develop and approve overall project delivery schedule, requirements/spec compliance and risk mitigation strategies, required to achieve the customer’s committed delivery schedule
  • Coordinate closely with the market development manager to provide back-office support as required during project development and delivery
  • Develop, maintain and improve a highly effective and well skilled team to carry out actions and complete planned objectives
  • Ensure scope of work and associated document management and storage are adhered to throughout the process 
  • Coordinate, track, and ensure completion of design engineering activities on time and within budget and scope
  • Ensure new product designs are transitioned to the production team in a timely manner 
  • Communicate external customer priorities to team members to keep on schedule and budget.
  • Identify critical path and key issues and work with team to resolve
  • Approve invoices to customer and their timely release in accordance with the contract documents  
  • Pro-actively manage budget variances and work with finance to provide analysis of cost overruns
  • Accountable for scope change management and orchestrating response to customer scope changes in collaboration with sales
  • Effectively negotiate timely change orders with customers when applicable 
  • Manage team meetings to ensure projects are on track and within budget
  • Manage and maintain project tracking, including any tracking reports
  • Represent project and/or department during client and project management meetings 
  • Utilize enterprise-wide team to improve the customer perceived value of programs through use of sophisticated analytical methods, lean implementation, formal problem solving, and other means
  • Assist in collection of project closeout documentation and conduct lessons learned discussions to drive continuous improvements
  • Mentor lower-level project managers and project coordinators
  • Assist in ISO 9001:2015 conformance for all projects and engineering efforts

Project Coordinator

General Position Summary

We seek a results driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. . The Project Coordinator works closely with Program and Project Managers (PMs) in the Program Management Office (PMO) and is accountable for the planning, directing, and executing multiple projects while engaging the enterprise to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction. The Project Coordinator will continuously monitor and improve project deliverables including contractual and business objectives (project and product costs) while ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery. The Project Coordinator is responsible for purchase order (PO) reviews, creating master details for new production projects, and monitoring and evaluating each step of a project to ensure on-time delivery. The Project Coordinator is also responsible for sales order/purchase order request (POR) generation, shipping and reports. The Project Coordinator receives direction from the Program Management Director and works closely with the PM as projects move into new phases within the workflow. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and able to carefully review and put together project details to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Report to Project Management Office (PMO) and support Project Managers (PMs) to support effective monitoring  of each project, mitigating schedule changes, project scope adjustments, risks mitigation, and requirements management.
  • Update project information including schedule/task management, document and design references and manufacturing references.
  • Create project schedules based on input/direction from the PM(s)
  • Review customer PO for accuracy with input/information from the PM(s) and store in relevant folders 
  • Complete project documentation with input/information from the PM(s) to support design and/or production projects
  • Generate customer sales order requests and relevant documentation and information with input/direction from the PM(s) to support production work. This includes final accuracy verification of customer PO against customer sales order.
  • Work with PM(s) to oversee customer shipments to include creating new customer shipping requests, identifying/communicating relevant shipping information and tracking shipment progress for large production orders.
  • Support PM(s) in building and managing project folders and documentation throughout the process.
  • Assist in collection of project closeout documentation and support lessons learned discussions to drive continuous improvements
  • Develop and/or provide reports as required
  • Assist in ISO 9001:2015 conformance for all projects and engineering efforts
